According to a recent report from the State College Police Department, a tragic incident occurred on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in the 200 block of East Park Avenue. The incident involved a pedestrian fatality. The report states that a vehicle traveling in the westbound lane of the road suddenly swerved into the oncoming lane, leading to a collision with Lovisa Arnesson-Cronhamre. Lovisa, a 25-year-old doctoral student from Sweden, specialized in architectural engineering and was in the midst of a jog along the sidewalk when the accident happened. Following the collision, she was promptly transported first to Mount Nittany Medical Center and later to the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Altoona. Sadly, despite medical efforts, Lovisa succumbed to the injuries she sustained during the accident.
