Jussie Smollett Siblings all started in the entertainment industry before later finding their own niches. Jussie has five siblings made up of three boys and two sisters.

The  Smollet siblings were in the 1994 television sitcom On Our Own and they were portrayed live as siblings. Jussie Smollett became a sensation through his acting, singing, and production work. He appeared as Jamal Lyon in the series, Empire among many other movies.

Jussie Smollett was born on June 21, 1982, in Santa Rosa, California into a biracial family. He is one among six children born to Joel and Janet.  Members of his family had picked acting at one point or the other.

From an early age, the siblings suffered the absence of their father who was mostly absent due to work leaving only their mother to watch over them.  Even when he returned to be with the family, later on, he died in 2014 after losing his fight to cancer.

1. Jojo Smollett

Known as the spokesman of the Smollett family, Jojo is the oldest. He started his acting career in the 1991 movie Roseanne. Shortly after, he featured in others like Moesha, City of Hope before he went quiet.

While many fans of his earlier roles wondered about the actor, he made a comeback appearance in 2016 on the family’s cook show Smollett Eats alongside his siblings.

Since his movie career is stalling at the moment, we found out that Jojo is involved in nonprofit work to support developmentally disabled people while supporting his siblings.

He showed such support to his brother Jussie in his controversial racial discrimination case. Jussie first became the center of such controversy in 2019 when he allegedly claimed he was discriminated against because of his race.

In recent development as of 2022, he was sentenced to serve 150 days in prison for lying to the police. As of this writing, he was released on bail pending his appeal.

Like her other family members, Jurney launched her career as a child actor in the early 90s in shows like Full House(1992-1994) and On Our Own(1994). Jurnee grew up right in front of the screen and has taken many roles over the years.

Many people usually confuse Jurnee and her brother, Jussie Smollett thinking they are twins. However, this is not true as Jussie is older than Jurnee by four years.

Jake is an actor who also creates content. With his deep culinary skills, he retains a spot as the resident chef on The Rachel Ray Show.

Unlike most of his siblings who made their debut on the 1994 sitcom On our Own, Jake started his career as a diaper model. After debuting his first scripted role in Hanging with Mr. Cooper.

5. Jocqui Smollet

He is the youngest among the Smollett siblings. Jocqui found fame as a child actor alongside his older siblings on the 1994 ABC sitcom On Our Own. Years after his feature, he was not seen in any movies. However, he later switched his career from being an actor to a data analyst.
